\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Papal Apartments is the place where the Holy Father John Paul II lived during his visit to Liche\u0144 in 1999. You can see the desk at which Bl. John Paul II, the stole that he wore on June 7, 1999 during the consecration of the Liche\u0144 basilica, and other memorabilia and exhibits related to his person. The Marian priests organized a museum in the papal apartments to commemorate the visit of our great compatriot in Liche\u0144. For many years, it has collected stamps, coins, books and all publications related to the life and pontificate of St. John Paul I\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe largest temple in Poland, located in the Marian Sanctuary in Liche\u0144, was built in the years 1994 - 2004. The initiator of the construction was Fr. Eugeniusz Makulski, MIC. The temple was designed by architect Barbara Bielecka from Gdynia and her team. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe image of Our Lady of Liche\u0144 is located in the main altar of the minor basilica in Liche\u0144 Stary. It is an oil copy of the painting of Our Lady of Rokitno Wielkopolski. The artist, unknown by name and surname, was painted in the second half of the 18th century on a thin larch plank to show the Holy Virgin Mary, full of sorrow. Mary looks at the crowned white eagle spread over her breasts. Her head is covered with a golden robe flowing down over her shoulders, richly decorated with floral and floral ornaments, lined with rosettes made of decorative stones. The edges of the garment are decorated with symbols of the Lord's Passion. Two angelic figures raise a crown above Mary's head. \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn the central part of the Sanctuary there is a 25 m high stone mountain. This hill, built of concrete and stones, is Golgotha, with a labyrinth of passages, grottoes, chapels, figures and bas-reliefs. The whole is dominated by the cross and the figures of the Mother of God and St. John. The mountain was created as a work of penance and atonement. Its author is Fr. Eugeniusz Makulski. As he says himself: "Golgotha is a remuneration to Jesus for the sacrilege committed by Berta Bauer and for the sacrilege committed by Polish hands at a time when crosses were thrown out of schools, offices, the army, and even hospitals."\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This church was erected on the site of the former Cemetery Chapel, to which the Miraculous Image was transferred from the Gr\u0105blin forest in 1852. In the main altar of the church there is a painting of Our Lady of Cz\u0119stochowa, in the side chapels there are paintings depicting the history of the apparitions of Our Lady of Liche\u0144. Fr. Eugeniusz Makulski expanded this church in 1970, under the guidance of a master carpenter, Jan Ko\u0142odziejski. The underground of this small temple hides a valuable, though painful, memento kept in the Chapel of the Holy Cross - a 19th century Passion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGr\u0105bli\u0144ski Forest is 2 km from the Sanctuary. For those who come to Liche\u0144 for the first time, Gr\u0105blin as a place of apparitions is a must-see. It is also not missed by those who already know Liche\u0144 and those for whom the Way of the Cross in Gr\u0105blin is a permanent element of their pilgrimage. On several hectares of the former pine forest there are places of apparitions of the Mother of God and the stations of the Cross of the Cross connected by alleys. In 1850 memorable apparitions took place here. The Mother of God appeared here to the shepherd Miko\u0142aj Sikatka.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The museum's collection includes, among others Polish and foreign old prints from the 16th to the 18th century, royal letters and autographs, manuscripts of Polish writers from the era of Romanticism, positivism and Young Poland. An important place in the museum collection is occupied by one of the largest collections in Poland concerning the January Uprising. Two collections of white weapons - European and Eastern ones, a collection of oil paintings by European masters of the 17th and 18th centuries, royal documents, memorabilia of prisoners of Soviet labor camps and Nazi camps are especially valuable.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn 2004, the five-year construction of the basilica tower was completed. On August 7, the first guests entered the viewpoint. Since then, thousands of pilgrims annually admire the 35 km panorama of the area and the entire Sanctuary - church towers, alleys, ponds with water lilies and roofs of the Liche\u0144 basilica, as well as forests, fields and lakes surrounding Lichen. The tower is 141.5 meters high. There are two closed, ventilated observation decks at the top of the tower. The first one at a height of 98 m - that is the 27th floor, the second one at a height of 114 m - that is the 31st floor. You can get there by elevator - entry takes about 40 seconds, or by stairs - steps are 762.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Liche\u0144 spring has nothing to do with the apparitions of Our Lady. However, there are testimonies of specific people who, using the water from the spring, entrusted themselves to God with faith and experienced the grace of healing. The spring was created for a purely practical reason, so that you could draw drinking water from it, because there was a problem with it before. Father Eugeniusz Makulski recalls that before the well was built, people coming to Liche\u0144, for example for a fair, used the water from the lake. On hot days, the pilgrims were washed in the lake, and at the same time they took water to drink.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
