Holy Mass in the Liche\u0144 basilica was presided over by Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, custodian of the Lichen sanctuary. Welcoming the faithful, he encouraged them to use the sacrament of penance and reconciliation (priests hear confessions in the basilica during every Holy Mass).<\/p><p>- <em>The mission of every Marian shrine is to meet Christ<\/em> - said Fr. Kumala. He recalled the apparitions of Our Lady of Liche\u0144 in 1850, her message and the fruits of prayer during the cholera epidemic spreading at that time. - <em>Today we also come to unite ourselves with Christ, to ask us to be able to bear fruit in our daily lives.<\/em> - emphasized the curator priest. <em>Fruit not in the sense of profit, but fruit of the Gospel. The most important thing is to be aware of the identity of God&#039;s children, to be grateful for the gift of life and to constantly remember God&#039;s presence<\/em>, Fr. Kumala. He asked if I have time to listen to Jesus, read the Holy Scriptures? - Let us remember that Christ is always waiting for us, he wants to see the fruits of our relationship with God, and Mary teaches us how to live beautifully, and how to abide with Christ, said Fr.
