On June 26, 2021, the 2nd Family Bike Rally around Lichen was held for the second time. About 40 cyclists took part in the rally.
In this year's edition of the rally, a larger group of cyclists decided to inaugurate the holidays actively and in a sporting way.
The beginning of the trip took place in the internal parking lot next to the basilica, right next to the entrance to the Museum. Fr. Józef Jarzębowski, MIC.
Before going on a tour with cyclists, Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, the curator of the Lichen sanctuary, who wished everyone a successful and safe journey.
The route led along the roads and wilderness of the Licheń parish. The first point of the trip was the village of Wygoda, then Helenów Pierwszy and Drugi, Trzy Borki, Grąblin and finally - a return to Licheń.
Cyclists from Golina, Sławsk, Rudzica and Licheń took part in the rally. They were both individuals and members of a bicycle club, as well as entire families. Before departure, each participant received a starter package, and after reaching Licheń, a warm meal was waiting for the cyclists of the trip.
The organizers of the rally would like to thank the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Licheń Stary, whose friends secured the route of the rally.
