Museum lesson for US soldiers at the Fr. Józef Jarzębowski in Licheń

The soldiers of the US Army National Guard Support Group stationed in Powidz at the 33rd Transport Aviation Base could learn about the Polish Sarmatian tradition, customs that have survived to this day, about our common heroes Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pułaski and their place in the history of our countries.

Our common heroes

During the classes conducted by Patryk Kazuś and Robert Adamczyk, our guests heard, among others about the Polish Sarmatian tradition and customs that have survived to this day, about our common heroes Tadeusz Kościuszko and Kazimierz Pulaski and their place in the history of our countries.
The lecturers recalled that the emerging American state was modeled on, inter alia, on political solutions that existed in pre-partition Poland.
The lesson was enriched with exhibits from our museum: autographs of Tadeusz Kościuszko, Kazimierz Pułaski, sabers, swords, helmets, among others morion, 19th-century graphics showing important battles, incl. near Smolensk or Vienna.

Declaration of Independence Of the United States

The soldiers were somewhat surprised to learn about the 19th-century copy of the United States' Declaration of Independence, which is kept in our collection.
During our museum lessons, participants have the unique privilege of having personal contact with the exhibits. It is impossible during individual sightseeing.
