Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

On the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Act of Dedication of the Polish Nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was renewed

Everyone has a heart, but it is different with it. Someone may have a heart of gold, and someone else has a heart of stone. The Lord Jesus is able to heal our hearts because He is the model of the most perfect love. It is today, on this solemnity, that we meditate on God's infinite love made manifest in his heart. ... God loves us. It is He who called us to exist forever. And we will live forever - this is His will. God wants us to be with Him for all eternity

Before the beginning of the Mass, at 11.30, in the Licheń temple, the rosary was recited as part of the annual worldwide rosary relay for the sanctification of priests. The prayer was led by Fr. Adam Stankiewicz, MIC, vice-curator of the sanctuary.

Southern Mass. was chaired by Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, who read the Act of Dedication of the Polish Nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ on behalf of the faithful.

In the homily of Fr. Kumala pointed out that our presence in the Marian shrine is to encourage us to improve our relationship with Jesus so that we can go through life with Him. Referring to today's Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Marian said that by gazing at the Heart of Jesus, we should reflect on our own hearts. He also emphasized that God gives us the freedom to choose. And just as parents care about their children, God cares about us. - “God looks at us with joy and hope as we walk the way of the commandments. He always loves us and is happy that despite many difficulties, we remain with him ".

Communion children who came to the sanctuary to thank for the gift of accepting Jesus into their hearts for the first time participated in the mass. The priest pointed out that they thank God in the first place for having called them to life in his infinite love. Next, gratitude is due to all those who helped children to reach the First Holy Communion: parents, godparents, catechists and priests who lead them on the path of faith.

Before the end of the Mass, The Act of Dedication of the Polish Nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was renewed. On behalf of himself and of the faithful present in the Lichen basilica, Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC. The reading of the act was preceded by exposing the Blessed Sacrament and the litany to the Heart of Jesus.

Let's not be afraid to be better. This is achievable. If Jesus is in your heart, he will guide you and strengthen you with his love
