The longest, 500 km long pilgrimage to Jasna Góra has reached Licheń

Today the 39th Kashubian Walking Pilgrimage from Hel to Jasna Góra entered the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Licheń. On the steps of the basilica, the pilgrims were greeted by Fr. Adam Stankiewicz, MIC, deputy custodian of the Lichen sanctuary. The pilgrims bowed at the feet of Our Lady of Lichen and traditionally celebrated a short service in front of the Miraculous Picture.

“This year we are going in a much smaller group than always. We are about 35 people. We cross the pilgrimage in a relay race. We have a group of 20 permanent people, the so-called technical, who are on the entire route from Hel to Jasna Góra. On the other hand, new people come every day who only go one day. " - explained the coordinator, Fr. Robert Jahns.

The Kashubian Walking Pilgrimage is the longest and at the same time one of the most difficult Polish pilgrimages to Jasna Góra - pilgrims have about 500 km ahead of them, which they must cover in 19 days.

They plan to reach Jasna Góra on August 12 with groups from Gdańsk and Gdynia.
