On January 23, a concert of Christmas carols performed by the Choir of the Lichen Basilica "Stabat Mater" was held in the Licheń Basilica.
The ensemble under the direction of Jacek Hyżny presented a dozen or so Christmas carols, both a capella and with the accompaniment of organs, followed by Paweł Opala.
In addition to the well-known carols, such as "Silent night" or "Among the night silence", you could hear less known songs: "Holy Virgin" by Hanna Jarwicz with music by Jan Maklakiewicz from 1936 or the charming Christmas carol "Sleep asleep" in the atmosphere of Chopin's mazurkas Dzieciino ”, written over 100 years ago by prof. Uruski.
On January 30, we invite you to the Musical Jasełka. Their performance will take place in the scenery of the new Christmas nativity scene, located in the western aisle of the Licheń temple. Nativity play will begin around 1.00 p.m. (after the 12.00 p.m. Mass).
