The 2nd Lichen International Organ Festival began in Licheń

On Sunday, July 5, about 300 people listened to the concert "Music and Word" in the Lichen basilica, inaugurating the 2nd International Lichen Festival of Organ Music "Basilica Sonans"

An organ concert performed by prof. dr hab. Andrzej Chorosiński, creator of the sound concept of the organ of St. John Paul II in the Licheń temple.

The inaugural concert of this year's Organ Festival referred to the 100th anniversary of the birth of St. John Paul II.

Between the works, the son of professor Chorosiński - Michał Chorosiński, a theater and film actor, recited the texts of the Polish Pope. The audience had the opportunity to listen to JS Bach's Toccata in D minor, M. Surzyński's Elegy in F sharp minor and Chopin's works in F: Etudes in C sharp minor, Nocturne in F minor and Nocturne in E flat major.

The next concert as part of the "Basilica Sonans" Festival will take place on Sunday, July 12 at 2.30 pm. We will hear dr. Waldemar Gawiejnowicz from the Academy of Music. Ignacy Jan Paderewski in Poznań.
This week, Marian Fathers also invite you to a concert that will take place on Saturday, July 11 at 14.30 performed by Dr. Wojciech Wojtasiewicz, organist from New York.

In addition, there are daily presentations of the organs of the Licheń basilica at 11.00, 13.30, 20.00. From 5 to 18 July, the performer of the presentation is Piotr Kaczmarczyk, a student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music.
