SANKTUARIUM MATKI BOŻEJ LICHEŃSKIEJ BOLESNEJ KRÓLOWEJ POLSKI

The Lord Jesus said to sister Faustina: "On this day all God's floods through which graces flow are open".

The Lord Jesus wishes that the Feast of Divine Mercy, which we will celebrate this year on Sunday, April 24, be preceded by a novena. The Savior dictated St. Faustina, nine topics exploring the mystery of God's mercy.

The first day

Today, bring to Me all humanity, and especially all sinners, and immerse them in the sea of My mercy, and thus you will console Me in the bitter sorrow in which the loss of souls plunges Me.

Most Merciful Jesus, whose property is to have mercy on us and forgive us, do not look at our sins, but at our trust in Your infinite goodness, and welcome us all into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, and do not let us out of Him for ever. We implore you through your love, which unites you to the Father and the Holy Spirit.

Eternal Father, look with the eye of mercy on all humanity, and especially on poor sinners. This humanity is closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus and for His painful Passion, show us Your mercy, that we may glorify the omnipotence of Your mercy for ever and ever. Amen.

Day two

Today, bring me priestly and religious souls and immerse them in My unfathomable mercy. They gave me the power to endure the bitter torment; through them, as through channels, My mercy flows over mankind.

Most Merciful Jesus, from whom comes all that is good, increase your grace in us that we may perform worthy works of mercy, that those who look at us may glorify the Father of Mercy who is in heaven.

Eternal Father, look with the eye of Your mercy on the group of the chosen in Your vineyard, on priests and religious souls, and give them the power of Your blessing, and for the feelings of Your Son's Heart, in whom these souls are enclosed, give them Your strength and Your light, that they may to lead others on the paths of salvation, to sing together praise to Your unfathomable mercy for ever and ever. Amen.

Day third

Today, bring to Me all devout and faithful souls and immerse them in the sea of My mercy; these souls consoled Me in the Way of the Cross, they were this drop of consolation in the sea of bitterness.

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You bestow Your graces with great abundance to all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and do not let us leave it for ever. We are begging you for this through Your incomprehensible love with which Your Heart burns for the heavenly Father.

Eternal Father, look with the gaze of mercy on faithful souls as the inheritance of Your Son and for His painful Passion, give them Your blessing, and surround them with Your constant care, so that they do not lose the love and treasure of holy faith, but that with the whole crowd of angels and saints they glorify the immeasurable your mercy is for ever. Amen.

Fourth day

Today bring me the heathen and those who do not know me yet. I thought of them in my bitter passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart. Immerse them in the ocean of My mercy.

Most Compassionate Jesus, You are the light of the whole world, receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of pagans who do not know You yet; let the rays of Your grace enlighten them so that they too, with us, may praise Your wonderful mercy, and do not let them leave the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart.

Eternal Father, look with the eye of Your mercy on the souls of pagans and those who do not know You yet, but are closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Draw them to the light of the Gospel. These souls do not know how fortunate it is to love You. Let them also glorify the generosity of Your mercy for ever. Amen.

Fifth day

Today, bring to Me the souls of separated brothers and immerse them in the sea of My mercy. In bitter torment, they tore my body and heart, this is my Church. When they return to unity with the Church, my wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion.

Most Merciful Jesus, You are goodness itself, You do not refuse the light of those who ask You, accept the souls of our separated brothers into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and draw them with Your light to unity with the Church, and do not let them out of the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart, but let them be they glorified the generosity of Your mercy.

Eternal Father, look with the eye of Your mercy on the souls of our separated brothers, especially those who have squandered Your goods and abused Your graces, persistently persisting in their mistakes. Do not look at their mistakes, but at the love of his Son and his bitter passion which he undertook for them, because they too are closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Grant them, let them praise Your great mercy for ever and ever. Amen.

Sixth day

Today, bring me the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children and immerse them in My mercy. These souls are most like My Heart, they strengthened Me in my bitter agony. I have seen them as earthly angels who will watch over my altars. On them I pour out streams of grace. Only a humble soul is able to accept my grace; I give humble souls my trust.

Most Merciful Jesus, you yourself said: "Learn from me for I am meek and humble of Heart ...", receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls delight the whole heaven and are a special delight of the Heavenly Father, they are a fragrant bouquet before the throne of God, a fragrance that God himself fills with. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart and they constantly sing a hymn of love and mercy for ever.

Eternal Father, look with the eye of mercy on the meek and humble souls and the souls of little children who are locked in the abode of the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are most like Your Son; the fragrance of these souls rises from the earth and reaches your throne. Father of mercy and all goodness, I am begging You through the love and delight you have in these souls, bless the whole world so that all souls together sing praise to Your mercy for ever. Amen.

Seventh day

Today, bring me souls who especially honor and praise My mercy, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over my passion and entered most deeply into my spirit. They are a living reflection of my compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with special brightness in the life to come. Neither of them will get into Hellfire. I will especially defend each one at the time of her death.

Most Merciful Jesus, whose Heart is love itself, welcome to the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart those souls who especially venerate and glorify the greatness of Your mercy. These souls are mighty by the strength of God Himself; amid all torments and adversities, they go forward, trusting in Your mercy. They are united to you and bear all humanity on their shoulders. These souls will not be judged harshly, but Your mercy will overwhelm them when they die.

Eternal Father, look with the gaze of mercy on the souls who glorify and honor your greatest attribute, that is, Your unfathomable mercy, and who are closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls are the living Gospel, their hands are full of works of mercy, and their hearts, full of joy, sing a song of mercy to the Most High. I am begging You, God, show them Your mercy according to the hope and trust they have placed in You. May the promise of Jesus be fulfilled in them, who said that the souls who worship this unfathomable mercy will defend themselves in life, and especially at the hour of death, as their glory.

Eighth day

Today, bring Me the souls in Purgatory and plunge them into the abyss of My mercy, let the streams of My blood cool their scorching heat. All these souls are beloved by Me, they repay My Justice; it is in your power to them bring relief. Take all indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them for them ... Oh, if you knew their torments, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debts My justice.

Most Merciful Jesus, you yourself said that you want mercy, I am bringing into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls in Purgatory; souls who are very nice to you, and who, however, must pay out to your justice. Let the streams of blood and water that have come out of Your Heart extinguish the flames of the fire in Purgatory, so that the power of Your mercy may also be glorified there.

(...) Eternal Father, look with the eye of mercy on the souls in Purgatory, who are closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. I am begging You through the painful Passion of Jesus Your Son, and through all the bitterness which His most holy soul was flooded with, show Your mercy to the souls that are under Your righteous gaze; do not look at them otherwise than through the wounds of Jesus, your beloved Son, because we believe that you have no numbers of your goodness and pity. Amen.

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

The fifth day

Today bring me cold souls and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. These souls they hurt my heart most painfully. My soul felt the greatest repugnance in the Garden of Gethsemane from my soul frigidly. They were the reason I said, Father, take this cup away if it is Your. For them, it is the last resort to resort to My mercy.

Most Compassionate Jesus, You are Mercy itself, I bring cold souls into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; in this fire of Your pure love, let those icy souls who resemble corpses and fill You with such disgust. O most compassionate Jesus, use the omnipotence of Your mercy and draw them into the very ardor of Your love, and bestow them with holy love, because You can do everything.

(...) Eternal Father, look with the eye of mercy on the cold souls who are closed in the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. Father of mercy, I am begging You through the bitter passion of Your Son and through His three-hour agony on the cross, let them also glorify the gulf of Your mercy ... Amen.
