SANKTUARIUM MATKI BOŻEJ LICHEŃSKIEJ BOLESNEJ KRÓLOWEJ POLSKI

Rekolekcje „Przygotowanie do spowiedzi generalnej”

At the Marian Sanctuary in Licheń Stary, the retreat ended with a general confession. Considerations during individual conferences were conducted by Fr. Adam Stankiewicz, MIC, vice-curator of the sanctuary.

The retreat began on Thursday, September 2. Their most important element was the Saturday confession, to which the participants started after a series of conferences prepared by Fr. Adam Stankiewicz, MIC.

Among the retreatants was Mrs. Jadwiga from Warsaw, who was persuaded by a neighbor to participate in spiritual exercises in Licheń. - “I felt that the retreat I was experiencing was beginning to change my life, of course in the right direction. I have this feeling that there was too much fear in my life. Retreats caused changes in thinking and perception of the world. Thanks to them, I began to feel more calm. I started to understand faith differently " - she admitted.
For a Warsaw resident, it was the first retreat of this type at a Licheń sanctuary. Previously, she traveled to other Polish sanctuaries. However, this time she decided to come to Licheń. And he does not hide his satisfaction. - “I am happy that I have come here, to Our Lady. I managed to put everything in such a way that I can now be here and enjoy the fact that I am part of this group that wants to cleanse their heart and reconcile with God through sincere confession. An additional bonus for us is the beautiful weather, which is conducive to long walks along charming alleys, silence, prayer and contemplation ”. Jadwiga also emphasizes the value of the conferences announced by Fr. Stankiewicz, in which the priest pays attention to what to do in order not to fall into traps set by Satan.

All the conferences were held at the Pontifical Retreat House, where the retreatants were also accommodated. The retreat was planned in such a way that the participants could participate in the Holy Masses celebrated in front of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Licheń, the chaplet of Divine Mercy, and in the evening at the Marian assembly.

In 2021, those willing can still take advantage of four rounds of retreats to prepare for general confession. They will be held on September 30 - October 3, November 11-14, November 25-28 and December 16-19.
