Meeting of the Families with Jesus in the Mother's House

The meaning of our life is experiencing love. The family is the space where God's love is most beautifully realized.

 
The meeting of the families with Jesus at the House of Our Lady of Licheń on August 8 was an opportunity to thank for the daily joys, but also to ask for help in difficulties and strengthening faith.
 
- We are here to express our care for the family - said Fr. Janusz Kumala, MIC, the curator of the Lichen sanctuary, who presided over the main Mass. John Paul II said in 1999 about the Licheń sanctuary that it was a place that "Mary loved very much". It is the space of Our Lady's love for all those who gather here. The Miraculous Picture is called the picture of family happiness, and the Licheń Mother - the Patroness of family happiness. - Mary, the Sorrowful Mother, bows her head, turning our eyes and heart to Jesus crucified. With her we read the truth that Jesus loved me. He has given me life and he guides me, comforting me and showing me the way. He leads me to himself, to heaven, the curator remarked.

He emphasized that during the Eucharist we discover the most important truth in life - God loves me and cares for me every day. - The most important thing is that we should not be deceived that we are in this world to achieve something. The meaning of our life is experiencing love. The space where God's love is most beautifully realized is the family, said the curator. He also pointed out that many escape into addictions because they do not find happiness and love in their families. Therefore, caring for the family is caring for all of us. The vocation to family happiness is inscribed in the heart of every person called into existence. - It is here that Our Lady leads us to the Eucharist, so that we may nourish ourselves with Bread for eternal life. As pilgrims on this earth, we need this Bread in order not to stand still on our way to heaven, and not to get lost. We need merciful love and the healing of our wounds in the sacrament of penance. The family is strong when it is nourished by the Eucharist. Without her, he weakens and dies. Be witnesses of God in your life, in the face of the world that wants to destroy families - he said.
At the end of the Mass. Fr. Kumala blessed families with the Blessed Sacrament so that family ties could be strengthened and mutual love was fostered. While walking around the altar with the Miraculous Picture, everyone could receive a copy of the painting of Our Lady of Licheń, Patroness of family happiness.
 

On Saturday, August 14, there is the memory of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe, presbyter and martyr, in our sanctuary. A day of prayers for childless couples who want children for the gift of motherhood and fatherhood for them. After it, a concert of Marian songs will be performed by Mr. Bogusław Morka, tenor of the National Opera in Warsaw.

And on Sunday, August 15, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This day is the 54th anniversary of the coronation of the Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Licheń, as well as the 101st anniversary of the "Miracle on the Vistula". We pray for the intention of the Church and the Fatherland. Main Mass with the Eucharistic procession at 12.00. End of the indulgence with the second Vespers in the basilica at 5.00 p.m.
